Advertising
Advertising is often a means of attracting candidates who would necessarily fall into the immediate pool of candidates which would be flagged up in an Executive Search. A carefully targeted advertising campaign placed in the appropriate trade publication can reach a much wider audience For example an advertisement for a position in Birmingham may be seen by a candidate currently living in London who wishes to return to the region.
Your consultant will visit you and establish the specific requirement within the team and will advise whether or not an advertisement is the best solution. The most appropriate method of advertising either: internet, National Press or Trade Publications will be recommended. A discussion will also follow as to whether the advertisement will be branded with the firm's logo or if the position is of a confidential nature, the logo will be omitted. A date will also be discussed as during certain periods of the year advertising may be affected by seasonal events such as summer holidays.
Once this has been agreed Pen & Wig will book all necessary advertising space and will oversee the drafting of the advertisement, preparing it within an agreed timescale for the client's approval.
Once the advertisement has gone to press (or been activated if internet advertising) when the response is received it is administered by the team. Every person who has applied to the advertisement will be sent a letter acknowledging receipt of their application. Successful candidates are then interviewed against the job profile agreed by the client and a shortlist of suitable candidates is presented to the client within the pre-agreed time frame. Your consultant will also sit in on the interviews, prepare all interview notes and de-brief accordingly. Once the offer has been made and accepted by the successful candidate any unsuccessful candidates will be notified and will also be thanked for their time.
Additional services may also be linked into advertising and these can be discussed at the initial briefing.
